Migos may have not taken home any awards at the last Grammy Awards Ceremony- but recent police reports indicate that they might not have left empty handed either.
After the ceremony, Migos member Quavo attended a Grammys afterparty located at the infamous New York nightclub 1 Oak.
(Justin Timberlake just had his birthday there, so you know it’s legit).
Anyway, as it tends to happen after a long night of drinking- things got heated. Quavo got in a verbal argument with legendary HipHop Jeweler ” Eric The Jeweler”.
As you can see from his photos, Eric is really god damn successful, and has made pieces for music stars like 50 Cent, DMX, YG, The Weekend, Drake, and many others.
But when you live in an expensive New York high-rise building, and drive cars that cost more than most people’s houses…… you need to keep money coming in all the time.
So it’s no wonder that he and Quavo got into an argument over a bill that was never paid. It appears the fight was over a custom “Huncho” chain that Eric crafted him awhile back and never got compensated for.
Don’t stare too long, you might go blind from all the shininess. The spinning QC medallion makes the effect even crazier. And to think that people with “normal” jobs save up a months salary to buy a piece that is just a couple grand… Man, what are we doing with our lives?
It’s not known exactly how much the chain that Eric crafted cost- but looking at similar custom bling that has been created- it could easily run a couple hundred thousand dollars. Hell, Offset spent 500k on his engagement ring to Cardi B, and who knows if they’ll even be a couple in 6 months from now?
According to the police report, Quavo and one of his associates ( it wasn’t Offset or Takeoff) jumped Eric. Eric left the club and sustained only minor injuries, however he did notice that his $30,000 chain had mysteriously gone missing!
Detective Sophia Mason gave more details to Complex regarding the assault and robbery police report.
“A complaint report for Robbery was filed for a Robbery that occurred on January 29, 2018 at approximately 0430 hours at the address you provided,” she said. “The 25-year-old male complainant reported he was assaulted by a member of a musical group (Quavious Marshall) and suffered a swollen right eye. He also stated that his necklace was taken during the incident. There are no arrests at this time and remains an active investigation”.
Looks like Eric is going to have to add that chain to the bill that Quavo ALREADY owes him. Do you think that Quavo will end up getting arrested and sued over this? Or will he work things out with Eric and settle the matter quietly?
Stay tuned to find out!
